How Do You Make Killer Grilled Jalapeno Poppers?
Once you try these fresh poppers it will be hard to go back to eating those breaded boxed ones. This article will walk you through putting together the popper and getting it on the grill. Wash your jalapenos and cut each one lengthwise. Take one half of each jalapeno and fill the side with cream cheese and then put a thin stick of cheddar cheese right into the cream cheese. Really you can use any of your favorite cheeses but I liked this combo. Put your right and left side together and then wrap it in a piece of bacon. Once the bacon is around it stick a toothpick through the whole mess to hold it together. Use two toothpicks if you need to. You can experiment and use ham or prosciutto. I have grilled them all three ways and I liked them all. Turn on the grill get it hot and put on your poppers. After about 3 to 5 minutes check them and turn them. The cream cheese tends to run out if you put the split side down. I like the bacon crispy so watch till its done the way you like it.
