How Do You Make Jewlery Beads?
Take your jewelry designs to the next level by making your own beads with polymer clay. Clay is available in a variety of colors, but you can also paint it for custom colors and designs. You can find everything you need to make clay jewelry beads at your local craft store, your grocery store and from online retailers. Your imagination is your only limitation. Step 1 Slice 1/2 of each polymer clay block and knead it with your hands until it’s soft. Press the kneaded clay with the palm of your hand to flatten it. Set your pasta machine on the highest setting and roll one sheet of clay through it. Repeat this step with as many different colors of clay as you like to make mosaic beads, or add just one other color to make two-tone beads. Step 2 Cut each rolled sheet of clay into three same-size rectangles. Stack the rectangles, one on top of the other with the edges flush.
