How do you make Jalapeno Poppers from scratch?
Jalapeno Poppers make tasty appetizers or snacks. From the box they’re good, but from scratch they’re amazing! Cut each jalapeno in half length-wise. Use a spoon to dig out the seeds. Rinse the jalapenos. With a spoon or your fingers, take a small amount of cheddar cheese and spread it in the hollowed out portion of the jalapeno. Fill half way with the cheddar. Take a small amount of the cream cheese and spread it out on top of the cheddar. Fill the rest of the jalapeno with the cream cheese. I suggest putting enough on so that it bulges up over the top of the jalapeno. Roll the poppers in flour. Make sure it is well covered. Roll the poppers in egg. Make sure it is well covered. Roll the poppers in the breadcrumbs. Again make sure they are well covered. Freeze the poppers for a couple hours. Fry the poppers in olive oil until they are golden brown. Enjoy!
