How Do You Make Items Made From Recycled Materials?
Recycling is not a new concept; it has been around for years. However, a renewed focus on living greener has us looking for ways to reduce waste and conserve energy. One way to keep things from ending up in the garbage dumps is to repurpose items. Many items can be repurposed into something useful. Turn an old clothes dresser into a TV armoire by removing the top two drawers. Cut out the wood slats using a saw. Measure and cut a piece of plywood for the inside and attach it to the frame with a drill and 3-inch wood screws. Cut two pieces of plywood for the doors and add molding. Attach them with wood screws to the front of the piece. Add new or recycled hardware to the front. Sand and stain or paint the entire piece and you have a whole new piece of furniture.
