How Do You Make Italian Bread Sticks From Left-Over Hamburger And Hotdog Buns?

After the cook out, you no longer have to wonder what to do with your left-over hamburger- or hot dog-buns. Throw them in the freezer and the next time you make pizza or pasta you can through together some quick and great tasting Italian bread sticks! Take buns out of freezer and slice them into sticks. I usually will slice hamburger buns into 4 sections and hot dog buns into two. Lay out on a cookie sheet with the browned side down. Cover tops with soft butter. Lightly sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered bread. Lightly sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the buttered bread. Lightly sprinkle Italian herbs over bread. Top with Parmesan cheese. Place in 375 degree over for 5 minutes. Then turn over to broil and remove when lightly browned.
