In order to assist in the completion of their treatment, the CDC has developed an International Notification Form to be sent to TB Control in Institutions program personnel in the country of the patient’s destination to inform them of the circumstances and ask them to encourage patients to complete treatment for TB disease. In general, international interjurisdictional referrals are conducted for patients with TB disease and not for patients with latent TB infection. A copy of the form may be given to the patients to take with them as well.
