Educators are constantly seeking ways to bring technology into the classroom and to make lessons more interactive for students. Smart Board lessons are a way to do that. You can encourage student participation by creating interactive lesson plans that use a Smart Board. Open the Smart Board software by clicking on the blue square icon in the Smart Notebook software on the desktop of your computer. Create text boxes with your content by clicking the “A” icon on the toolbar. Each vocabulary word should be written using a different text box and placed in a vertical line down the left-hand side of the screen. This can be done by clicking the black arrow on the menu bar then clicking on each word. Text boxes can be resized by clicking on the word, then dragging the white bubble in the lower right-hand corner of the word. Insert definitions matching each vocabulary word.
