How Do You Make Homestyle Candied Sweet Potatoes?
No Thanksgiving dinner would be complete without Grandma’s homestyle candied sweet potatoes. They may not be very diet friendly, but homestyle candied sweet potatoes perfectly compliment any traditional holiday feast. Here’s my Grandma’s recipe for homestyle candied sweet potatoes. Preheat oven to 350 F, and gather all ingredients for homestyle candied sweet potatoes. Drain liquid off yams in the can, and pour yams into oven safe baking dish. If there are large chunks, cut them into bite sized pieces. Melt butter in microwave safe bowl and set aside. Sprinkle brown sugar completely covering yams, using more brown sugar if needed.
