How Do You Make Homemade Stuffing For Dog Pillows?
If you have a dog pillow that has lost fluff, or if you have sewn your own dog pillow and do not have stuffing for it, do not worry. You can actually make your own stuffing from old clothing or fabric you have around the house. Purchasing batting is not very expensive, but it does cost the environment. By recycling old cloth items you aren’t using anymore, you’re saving the waste from purchasing new batting, and also the waste of letting your old stuff end up in a landfill. Gather up all of the clothing or other cloth items that no longer fit, are stained or out of style. Wash the items in your washing machine with detergent and dry them in your dryer. Cut all of the buttons, rivets, and zippers out of the items with scissors, and shred the remaining fabric into smaller pieces. Cut them to about 4 inches by 4 inches or smaller, so that the pillow will fluff nicely. Fill the shell of the pillow with the scraps you cut up.
