Woman and children got together for these events and made enough taffy for what seemed like the whole town.”Awe, the memories, she says.” That said, I’m here now to share this awesome confection with you. Ingredients; 1-1/2 cups white granulated sugar 1/2 cup light molasses 1-1/2 cup cider vinegar 1/4 cup melted butter 1/8 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter 1/2 cup water Combine the molasses, sugar, 1/2 cup water, and the vinegar in the saucepan, stir to blend well.
