Throughout history, teas have been used for medicinal and spiritual purposes. Cultures throughout Europe, Asia, and even Natives of America, would consume home brewed teas for simple gatherings, to heal sicknesses, and even to relax. Rather than buying teas, you can actually make your own. Mint, is an herb that has been shown to help soothe upset stomach, and relax the body. You can make a delicious mint tea at home following just a few basic steps. You will first need to locate some fresh mint. I grow it in my yard in large heavy pots (if you put mint in the ground it will spread quickly and become invasive). Cut off several large clumps of mint stems. If you can’t find fresh growing mint, just go to your local organic market and they should have some there. Wash the mint sprigs off in lukewarm water.
