How Do You Make Homemade Lotions With Stuff Around The House?
Making your own lotions lets you take charge of what goes into them. Using simple, inexpensive materials around your home, you can create a soft, moisturizing formula for skin and hair. Homemade lotions are a cost-friendly alternative to commercially produced lotions and creams. Add the water, borax and oil to a glass bowl. Microwave the bowl on high for three minutes. Microwave a separate bowl containing the beeswax on high for three minutes. Beat the bowl containing water and oil slowly with the hand mixer. Pour the melted beeswax into the water slowly as you mix it. Increase the speed on the hand mixer and mix the solution for about five minutes. It will immediately form a white, frothy mixture. Pour the warm foamy mixture into the lotion bottle and let it cool to room temperature, uncovered. Once it’s cooled it will be a thick, creamy lotion. Use it immediately and refrigerate afterward.
