This is an easy and cheap way to make lock picks The first thing to do is get a hold of some lock pick templates.These will help you immensely in making your picks more accurate. You can find some at Locksmith-lockpick.com on the homemade lock picks post After you have done this, trace them onto the pieces of sheet metal or hack saw blades, and cut a rough out line with the tin snips.(I prefer to use hacksaw blades but the sheet metal does just fine as well). Take the rough outlines and put them on to the grinder( try as much as possible to get as close to the outline of the template as possible this will save you a considerable amount of time later on.
