Baby showers are a fun way to present a mom-to-be with much-needed items for her new little one. They are also a nice way for the friends and family of the future mom to get together. A practical way to thank guests for attending the shower is to offer individual keepsake gifts. Some of these keepsakes can be pricey, however, so making your own gifts is an easy alternative. Make one or both of the following keepsakes for a delectable and fun treat for all baby shower attendees. Purchase a bag of inexpensive miniature chocolate bars and another bag of chocolate kisses, any variety you choose. Remove the outer paper wrapper from the miniature chocolates, but leave the silver foil intact. Take a blue or pink marker (depending on whether the baby is a boy or a girl), and write the name of the mom-to-be and the date of the baby shower on blank address labels, for example, “Laura’s Baby Shower–July 18, 2010.” Be as creative as the label space will allow.
