Yet there’s also an alternative method you can use to freshen up your dog: dry shampoo. While there are various commercial products available, you can make your own version that will prove as effective. Measure and pour 1 cup of rolled oats into a blender. Place the lid on the blender and set it on a medium to high setting until the oats turn into a powder. The setting and length of time needed will vary according to the model of blender you use. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the oats. Stir the baking soda into the oats with a long-handled wooden spoon to mix the ingredients. Screw the lid onto the jar in a clockwise direction until tight and shake vigorously to further mix.
