How Do You Make Homemade Cool Whip?
Just love whipped cream when you are seriously wanting a little indulgence – but what about for those that love that cool whip taste? Can you make it at home? Of course -with these little tricks of the trade… This is rather easy to do, so let’s get started. Chill a small mixing bowl in your freezer for two hours. Once ready, soften gelatin with 2 teaspoons cold water, then add boiling water, stirring until gelatin is completely dissolved. Cool gelatin until tepid – meaning, not hot yet not cold – rather at just above room temperature. Place the ice water and nonfat dry milk in the chilled bowl. Beat with a hand mixture at high speed until mixture forms stiff peaks. Add sugar slowly, while still beating, then oil and gelatin. Place in freezer about 15 minutes then transfer to refrigerator until ready for use. Stir before using to retain creamy texture. And lastly place dollops on your favorite dessert! Enjoy my friends!
