How Do You Make Homemade Carrot Flavored Vinegar?
Vinegar is an inexpensive condiment you can make in your home. Homemade vinegar can be flavored, bottled, and given for gifts that is unique. Vinegar can be made from anything that contains starch or sugar, for example, grains, fruit juice, fruit, or fruit peels. We will use carrot peels to make our vinegar. Fill the container with boiling water to sterilize it. Leave it for 10 minutes. Drain the water out and add the carrot peelings. Add distilled water to cover the peels, then cover with the cloth. The cloth allows the natural yeast and bacteria in the air to colonize in the liquid; which causes it to ferment. Stir the liquid once every day to make sure that the ferment is blending with all the liquid. Before it is fermented and to have a greater success, especially if you are doing this for the first time first time, add a cup of store brought organic unfiltered vinegar, or use a vinegar “starter” you can find on the internet.
