I just loved it when my grandma made her famous stuffed green peppers. She never gave me her exact recipe, but with much trial and error I think I finally got it. Such a filling and savory dish, great for if you’re hosting a nice holiday dinner. Also pretty inexpensive to make. Preheat oven to 350. In a large frying pan brown ground beef, ground sausage, and Lipton onion soup mix together. Once the meat begins to brown add the diced red and yellow peppers, onions, and minced garlic. Sauté together until onions are translucent. Drain all the grease off the ground beef mixture and transfer mixture to a large bowl. In a large bowl-add to the beef mixture 3/4 can of Hunts Meatloaf Seasoning, 1 cup cooked rice, salt, and pepper. Stir together. Cut the tops off the green peppers and fully removed the insides of the peppers. Stuff the peppers with the beef mixture and place peppers in a shallow casserole dish.
