How Do You Make Home Made Jalapeno Poppers?
Jalapeno poppers are delicious, but can get expensive when dining out or purchasing them frozen. This is a yummy, cheaper alternative, that will taste amazing. I recommend wearing gloves since the fresh jalapenos tend to burn the skin. Slice jalapenos in halves and remove all seeds. I recommend a cream cheese/cheddar mixture for the stuffing. Let cream cheese soften, add shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, and mix well. Stuff each halve tightly with cream cheese filling. Next, dip each stuffed jalapeno in milk (use large bowls for easier dunking) and then roll lightly into flour. Cover entire jalapeno in breadcrumbs. You may use an at home fryer, or heat up some fresh oil in a large pan or pot on the stove. Be careful, and make sure oil is hot (around 400 degrees) before putting the jalapenos in oil. Fry jalapenos for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Do not overcook, it will result in loss of filling. Place on paper towel to ‘drain’ before serving, and ENJOY!
