How Do You Make Healthy Spicy Salsa Queso Dip?

0

If you want an easy, affordable, and healthier version of chili queso cheese dip, I have found a great alternative. Using turkey instead of ground beef saves you some calories and fat, and picante is usually just as much flavor, but cheaper than salsa. (Also, you can’t tell the difference between turkey and ground beef, I swear!) This is a healthier version of the recipe Katie Lee Joel recommended in the February 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. Brown your ground turkey or beef in a skillet over medium to medium high heat. Drain out the excess fat, if there is any. You can also dump the meat on paper towel to absorb the grease, then return it to the skillet. Add the taco seasoning and the picante or salsa to the skillet. Mix this in with the beef, and let it cook for about 9-12 minutes. Stir it about every 3 minutes. Next, stir in the cheddar cheese and the milk or cream cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese is melted.
