Not only can you get a sweet, refreshing dessert from fruit, it can also help you save money instead of wasting produce. Chop up older bananas and other fruit into chunks no bigger than an inch and a half in diameter. Remove all seeds, peels and other non-edible parts. Spread these on a baking or cookie sheet and put them in the freezer. When they are completely frozen, you can store them in bags or containers for later use. Place several frozen chunks of banana and one or two of other fruit, if desired, in a food processor with a strong blade. Add a small quanitity of milk or even heavy cream if you are not concerned with fat content. Blend these ingredients until smooth. Add more milk or cream as needed to get a proper creamy consistency. Serve immediately in bowls or store in the freezer for a few days.
