Whether it is a holiday or whether it is just an ordinary day, homemade hard cinnamon candy cannot be beat. It does take a bit of work to make, though. If you are up to the challenge, here are the steps. Cook sugar, water, corn syrup and food coloring. The temperature will range close to 300 degrees for the ingredients to become semi-hard. Remember you are making hard candy. Add oil of cinnamon. Stir slightly. Carefully, pour onto a well-greased pan. Remember the candy will be especially hot. Dust with powdered sugar. Crack or cut into pieces.
