How Do You Make Hanging Summer Flower Baskets?
Hanging Summer Flower Baskets make wonderful additions to any home or apartment, porch or living room. Follow these instructions and you’ll be able to create beautiful flowering baskets that will be the envy of your neighbors. Wash the wire basket with soapy water and allow it to air dry. Prepare the moss and soil. Mix the slow-release fertilizer, soil and water retention beads together. Submerge the sphagnum moss in a bucket of water and allow it to soak for at least an hour. When the moss is done soaking, wring it out like a towl and place it on paper towels or newspaper. Set the basket on the table. If it has a rounded bottom, place it in a bowl to stabilize it. Line (do not fill)the bottom and sides (1/3 of the way up) of the basket with clumps of sphagnum moss. Transplant the flowering plants that you have chosen to the bottom third of the basket. Lay the plants on their sides, facing the outside of the basket. Once you have the desired arrangement, fill the remaining empty space
