There are so many interesting techniques and supplies available for you to make truly original soap creations. Unfortunately, those supplies can add up and you can quickly find that your soap-making hobby has become quite expensive. One way to cut down on costs is to create new bars of hand soap from old soap bars. It’s a great way to save money and recycle your old products. Step 1 Clean your soap by rinsing it under the kitchen sink. Make sure to remove any stray hairs or dirt. Pat dry with your hand towel. Step 2 Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol into your squirt bottle and set aside. Step 3 Grate your old soap with your cheese grater. Place grated soap into your glass measuring cup. Step 4 Put the measuring cup into the microwave and melt on high. Melt the soap for 30 seconds then stir. If it is not liquefied, continue melting in 15 second increments. Step 5 Stir the melted soap and make sure it’s completely liquefied. Step 6 Pour the soap into the molds. Step 7 Squirt the rub
