How Do You Make Hand Puppets From Stuffed Animals?

0

Hand puppets are great amusement for children and adults alike. If you want to put on a puppet show, read a story, tell a joke or just have fun, you can make your own hand puppets. All you need is an old stuffed animal you don’t mind cutting into and removing the stuffing from. It’s easy and very inexpensive–especially if you already have a stuffed animal. Choose a stuffed animal that is large enough to comfortably fit your hand. Look for the seam along the bottom. (If there is no seam along the bottom, you’ll have to make a cut.) Take a seam ripper and carefully pull out 1/2 inch of the seam. Use scissors to cut along the rest of the seam but only along the bottom portion. If there is no seam, create a small hole in the center of the bottom and then cut along the bottom in a straight line. Slowly remove the cotton stuffing. Be careful not to pull out any strings or the animal’s material itself. Lay the now-empty stuffed animal on a flat surface and press it down to flatten it out. Sm
