How Do You Make Hair Bows For Babies?
Many parents grow frustrated with trying to keep hair accessories in a little girl’s baby-fine hair. Barrettes, clips and other hair accessories generally just fall out of a baby’s hair. However, there is a simple method to make your own hair bows for babies that will not slide out as easily. Instead of a clip, use Velcro as the base. The Velcro grabs onto even the finest hair without pain or discomfort and securely keeps the hair bow in place. Tie the ribbon into a bow. You can play with size, width and length of the ends by tying several versions. Once you find a size and shape that fits well on the Velcro piece, trim off any extra ribbon length and set the finished ribbon carefully aside. Sew the Velcro piece together along one side. The Velcro will be shaped like a rectangle. Sew one of the short sides together, through the top and bottom layer.
