Hair bows are so cute on little girls. Plastic or metal hair clips for bow making can be found at most fabric and craft stores for a great price. With a little glue, ribbon and creativity, you can make dozens of your own bows at just a fraction of the store-bought cost. Make a bow to match everything your child owns. Step 1 For a medium-sized bow, cut about 3/4 of a yard of ribbon. Cut the ends at an angle. Cut another 2-inch piece of ribbon and set aside for the knot at the center. Step 2 With the long piece of ribbon, bring one end toward the center to make a loop. Bring the other end toward the center. There should be 2 loops, one on each side. Step 3 Overlap the ends of the ribbon past the center and below the loops to make a bow shape. The ends of the ribbon should be hanging down as ‘tails’ below the loops.
