How Do You Make Grosgrain Ribbon Headbands?
Grosgrain is a stiff material with a tight weave and is often used to make ribbons and trim. Grosgrain ribbon has ridges that feel like cords running across the width of the ribbon. The stiff quality of grosgrain ribbon makes this material a good choice for creating headbands. You can easily make your own grosgrain ribbon headbands with a few supplies from your local craft store. Step 1 Purchase spools of 5/8-inch-wide and 3/8-inch-wide grosgrain ribbon that complement each other. The narrower ribbon will wrap around the headband on top of the wider ribbon, so coordinate the colors and styles accordingly.
