Or if you prefer, you can purchase pressed flowers at most craft stores. Cut the flowers you want to press. The best flowers to press are those that are not too dense, such as daisies, roses, lavender, daffodils and hyacinth. Cut the stem to about 2 inches long. Use a large heavy book, such as a phone book or encyclopedia. Open the book to the middle and place a coffee filter on the right side of the book. Lay your flowers on top of the coffee filter. Close the book and press hard. If necessary, lay another heavy book on top to apply more pressure. Leave the flowers in the book for at least one week, preferably two weeks. Remove the flowers and use as desired. Cut the card stock paper to 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Fold the paper in half lengthwise to make a card 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Crease well.
