How Do You Make Grandmas Easy Potato Candy?
Learn how easy it is to make Potato Candy. Wash and boil potato, (or microwave) until done, cool and peel the skin off the potato. Mash potato with powdered sugar. Mixture will turn runny, keep adding powdered sugar until stiff. I use a mixer to get all the lumps out. Put down wax paper that is covered in powdered sugar. Then roll out the mixture until it is nice and flat. You can cut it in to two sections to make it easy to work with. After it is rolled out then you smooth on the peanut butter. You can use as much or as little peanut butter as you want. (I like it thick) Then roll up like a long roll. (I use the wax paper to help with rolling it up.) lift up the paper and start rolling it towards its self. After it is in a long roll start cutting it in to pieces. I like to sprinkle the plate with powder sugar first then add the candy and sprinkle the top of candy with sugar also.
