They are so easy it is almost cheating. My mom said they were the best peanut butter cookies she ever ate. Measure 1 (one) cup of granulated white sugar into a mixing bowl. Add one large egg. Mix with fork. Measure one cup of peanut butter. You can use crunchy or smooth, depending on your personal taste. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. The batter will be sticky, heavy, and shiny. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Wet a fork and press into each cookie, then turn the fork crossways to press down again making the traditional peanut butter cookie markings. Bake for 11 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool the cookies until they are firm before wrapping or packing. Enjoy!
