How Do You Make Glitter Play Dough?
Add a bit of shimmer and shine to the usual homemade play dough with a bit of colorful glitter. Glitter play dough will keep your kids busy for hours, as the dough is versatile enough to use while forming objects in various colors, shapes and sizes. Place the flour in a large saucepan and stir in the cream of tarter, salt, vanilla or peppermint extract and water. Stir the mixture while cooking it over medium heat. When it forms a thick ball, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the dough to cool. Put the cooled dough on a piece of waxed paper and work in the vegetable oil. Divide the dough into smaller portions, one for each color of glitter play dough that you choose to make. Knead the glitter and matching food coloring into the dough until it reaches the desired level of glitter and color. Store the glitter play dough in a sealed container at room temperature.
