How Do You Make Glass Beaded Hoop Earrings?
Making your own jewelry can be fun and rewarding. This is the first in my series of jewelry making tutorials, and will teach you to make beaded hoop earrings. Cut a length of wire that is 2-3 inches longer than what is needed to make your hoop. (Wrap the wire around your round item so it overlaps, plus 2-3 inches.) Use your pliers to make a small loop in one end of the wire. String on your beads. Add just enough to make the loop. (Hold the wire against the round item, and keep adding beads until they will go all the way around and meet.) Be sure you slide the hoop on and off the end of the round item to maintain the shape, don’t straighten the wire back out. Use the pliers to make another small loop where the beads end. Snip the excess off. Gently open the bottom loop on the earwires using the pliers. You should twist to the side, not spread it open. Slide on both loops of the beaded wire.
