How do you make garam masala?
Garam Masala is a blend of multiple spices. Those spices are: Coriander seeds, Cumin seeds, black peppercorns, black cumin seeds, dry ginger, black cardamom seeds, cloves, cinnamon sticks and bay leaves. All of the spices except ginger and cardamom should be roasted over a medium flame until they darken, deepening the flavor. After they are roasted, the remaining spices can be added and then ground to a fine powder in a coffee grinder. Store your Garam Masala in an airtight container in a cool and dark place.
