Fusilli are short, thick, cork screw shaped pasta, and the recipe is not too hard to make and the mint gives a fresh taste to the fusilli pasta. The recipe makes for four servings and it takes less than thirty minutes to prepare. Start boiling the water for the fusilli, and about a third of the way of them being cooked, put the lard in a skillet with half a glass of water on low heat. Then when the lard is mush add the garlic clove and the olive oil and cook on low for two minutes before adding the hot pepper and cook on low for another two minutes. Then add the cup of mint leaves to the skillet and let them stay there for no longer than a minute and a half before turning off the heat. In the meantime drain the fusilli and add them to the skillet, mix well and serve.
