Fused glass can be used to make attractive ornaments for the holidays or other year around and seasonal use. Pre-cut fusible glass is available at many craft stores or you can cut your own fusible shapes to make these ornaments. Fusing glass is an art form that involves melting different colored glass together to form a three dimensional design that is all one piece. Access to a kiln is the main requirement when pursuing this art. Clean the glass you will be using with a soft cloth and cleaner. Be thorough when cleaning, as any fingerprints, smudges, or lint left on the glass will fuse into the final product and be visible. Place the bottom piece of your fusible glass design onto the kiln shelf. Attach smaller pieces of glass, stringers, and any other decorative pieces to the glass base with glass glue.
