Fused glass cuff links add sparkle and pizazz to a well tailored suit. This tutorial will explain how to make cuff links from fused glass. Cut two pieces of ½ x ½ inch square COE compatible glass. Stack the two pieces of glass. For square cuff links, place one piece of glass on top of the other so it is sitting square. For round cuff links place the two piece so that they are sitting in the opposite direction so they fuse into a circle. Add decoration in the form of frits, stringers or enamels on the top layer of glass to complete your design. Fire using the following schedule as a guide: Ramp ºF/Hr Target temperature Hold for 1 Full 1630 5 Allow the cabochons to stay in the kiln until they have reached room temperature. Since you are making small cabs for cuff links, no annealing ramp is required when firing the glass.
