How Do You Make Fruit Arrangement Bouquets?
If you have seen those arrangements that look like flower bouquets but are really made of fruit, you know what great gifts they can be. But given the high cost of the store-bought versions, you might want to make a bouquet at home; here’s how. Gather your fresh fruit. For a medium bouquet, here’s a sample of the fruit you can use: 1 whole pineapple, 2 to 3 lbs. of strawberries, a small cantaloupe, 50 to 75 grapes and a large handful of parsley. Start with the pineapple. Core and peel it and slice it into rounds of about 1/2-inch thick each. Cut flower shapes out of the rounds. Your cookie cutter should be fairly large (about 3 to 4 inches around) so each round of pineapple results in one floral shape. Scoop balls of melon from the cantaloupe. You will need half as many melon balls as pineapple flowers. Slice each melon ball in half. Place each of the half rounds on the middle of the pineapple flower cut-outs.
