How Do You Make Frost Science Experiment With Kids?

0

In this easy science experiment you will attempt to make frost. Frost is a thin layer of ice that forms on a number of surfaces when the weather turns cold. Allow the children to do as much of the experiment on their own as possible. It builds their self esteem and promotes their independence. Try to work fairly quickly once the ice cubes are out of the freezer so your ice doesn’t melt away before your experiment is done. Put the ice cubes in your metal container. Pour the salt on top of the ice cubes and stir with the spoon a few times. Put the lid on your container and let it rest. Check the container in 10 minute intervals starting from 10 minutes. Discuss and record observations at 10, 20 and 30 minutes. Allow the children to tell in their own words what they see happening outside the container.
