How Do You Make French Raw Vegetable Salad?
I often ate a delicious raw vegetable salad while studying in France. This salad is easy to make and very nutritious! You can also vary the ingredients depending on what vegetables you happen to have or what is in season. You probably have everything you need in the refrigerator! Just follow these easy steps: Chop the bell pepper (any color), onion, celery, carrots, radishes, zucchini, and tomatoes into small chunks and place into a glass bowl. Moisten with any good store-bought or homemade oil and vinegar dressing. You can make your own with two parts good quality olive oil, one part vinegar or lemon juice, and salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Just add enough dressing to moisten the vegetables. Don’t make them swimming in dressing. Serve immediately, either plain or on leaf lettuce. Or refrigerate an hour or so to allow vegetables to marinate. Leftovers are good the next day, but this French raw vegetable salad is best fresh. Enjoy it as a healthy side dish with lunch or dinn
