How Do You Make Flavored Dough Balls For Fish Bait?
Catching fish with dough balls works well, however, catching fish with flavored bait works even better. Every species in the lake or river will want to bite on these flavored dough balls. The dough balls are easy to make and stay on your hook. Make up some dough balls and go fishing to try your luck. Place two cups of rye flour in a bowl and rub in the lard. Add an egg and incorporate it into the dough to bind the dough together. Add enough water to make into a stiff dough. Divide the dough into four sections and press a handful of dill seeds into one section; a handful of anise seed into another section; a handful of carraway seed into the third section and the ground cinnamon into the fourth section. Place each section of flavored dough into separate zipper baggies to keep the flavors from blending. Keep the individual baggies in your beverage cooler until you are ready to put them on your hook. Freeze the flavored dough balls if you do not want to use them immediately.
