How Do You Make Fireworks In A Glass?

0

Fireworks are a common denominator in celebrations such as the 4th of July and closing time at major theme parks. Fireworks are beautiful yet not safe for children to make themselves–unless you are making fireworks in a glass. There is no chance of starting a fire in your kitchen while making these fireworks, but your kids will explode with joy when they turn an ordinary glass of water into a fireworks display. Pour water into a tall drinking glass leaving roughly an inch of space at the top of the glass. Let sit out long enough for the water to reach room temperature or make sure the water is already room temperature via the faucet when you put it in the glass. Take the short drinking glass and add 3 tbsp. of vegetable oil. Then add 1 or 2 drops of the red food coloring and 1 or 2 drops of the blue food coloring to the oil. Use a fork to carefully stir the vegetable oil and food coloring one or two times, just enough to break up the drops. Make sure to only slightly stir the mixture
