How Do You Make Fire Starters From Egg Cartons?

Easily start your camp fire with these easy-to-make fire starters. • Get an empty cardboard egg carton (do not use the Styrofoam type). • Get some candle wax, or an already-made candle. • Get some sawdust, which is easily obtained from any cabinet making shop(you will want to use “real wood” sawdust, not plywood or laminate sawdust). • Fill the empty egg holders about 1/2-3/4 full with the sawdust. • Pour some melted candle wax over the sawdust-it should soak into the sawdust (if it sits on top it is not “hot” enough). • Wait until after it has cooled (about 5 – 10 minutes). Cut the individual holders apart, take 1 or 2, and light them on the sawdust side. It may take a few seconds to ignite, but once it does it will burn easily. Once it is lit, place it under your kindling and you will soon have a nice campfire.
