How Do You Make Festive Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods?
Chocolate and pretzels! What a great combination — crunchy, sweet and salty! This is a great recipe that is festive for any occasion. Get the kids to help. They will be so proud of their beautiful creations and others will be amazed that they made them! Enjoy! In a double boiler, melt the chocolate over low to medium heat on stove top stirring frequently to make sure it doesn’t burn. If you don’t have a double boiler, you may improvise by using two pots making sure that one is slightly smaller than the other. Place just enough water in the bottom of the larger pot so that the bottom of the slightly smaller one does not touch the water when it is placed on top of the larger one. In the meantime, cover a couple of cookie sheets with parchment paper or wax paper so that you can put the dipped pretzel rods on them to harden.
