Felting is a method of taking wool and shrinking it to make a dense fabric that can be used for crafts; super-warm clothing; or items such as purses, wallets or anything where you need fabric with extra density. You can felt most natural animal fibers, although wool felt is the most common. You cannot felt synthetic fibers or any wool that has been treated to be washable.
