How Do You Make Felt Christmas Ornaments?

0

Don’t you just love all those felt ornaments in the stores these days? Want to make your own and save money? I’ll teach you how. Gather all of your supplies together and decide what shape ornament you want. Select the color of felt you wish to use, white for snowmen, green for a tree, yellow for a star, etc., and cut out two of each shape you want to make. Use a blanket stitch to stitch around the edges of the ornament, leaving enough room to stuff the ornament before closing. Once your ornament is stuffed and sewn, it is time to decorate them. Using beads and sequins, simply sew them on where you would like them to be. For example, if you would like to make a tree, sew a star bead on the top of the tree, and string beads together to make a garland stitching to the edges of the tree as you go. Tie a piece of floss the top of your ornament and tie into a knot and hang on your tree or attach to a gift.
