How Do You Make Fancy Fairy Wings?
Fancy fairy wings are the perfect accessory for last-minute costumes. Children and adults alike are often invited to attend costume parties and sometimes it simply isn’t possible to put together a complete costume in time. By pre-making lightweight wings it is easy to turn your every-day clothing into something special, and at least show that you wanted to attend and have fun even if you didn’t have the time or money to make something elaborate. Cut one 9-gauge aluminum wire to 13 feet long (for 3-foot-long wings). Add feet for longer wings. Bend the 13 feet in half at 6-1/2 feet. Form a loop at the bend. You will have two sections of wire coming off a loop. Hold your wire with the loop down and one wire going off to the right side and one going off to the left side. Measure 6 inches beyond the loop of the right-side wire. Measure 6 inches from the end of right side wire and twist the wire around the second bend two or three times. Measure 6 inches beyond the loop in the left side wire
