When making pillows or cushions one way to give them a nice finished look is to add cording around the edges. Cording is not that hard to make and by covering plain cording form with the fabric of your choice you can be sure to get just the look that you want. Measure around each pillow or cushion to see how much cording form will be needed. Include a few extra inches for each pillow or cushion to allow for overlaps. Cording form is sold by the foot or yard depending on where you buy it. Buy one long continuous length if possible so it won’t have to be pieced. It comes in different sizes so decide what size cording will look the best for your project. Look at some of the pillows and cushions in a furniture store to see what size of cording they have, to get an idea of what you might want. Purchase fabric material to cut into strips for covering the cording form.
