Artist Trading Cards (ATC) are used to introduce your art to artists all across the globe. The ATC is a mixed media art piece, approximately the size of a business card, can be a perfect application of encaustic wax painting. This is a great way to get to know other artists, and for them to have a chance to get to know you. Cut out a small card, 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. This can be on any material you want, although it is typically a heavy card stock or art paper of some type. Design the back of the card. The backs of ATC cards typically hold important information about the artist. This can include contact information as well as types of art that you do, links to an online portfolio, or even a list of galleries that you show in. Apply your encaustic wax painting to the front of your card. You can use an area cut out of a larger piece, or create a new original piece of art just for this card.
