How Do You Make Electricity From Saltwater & Oxygen?
Most people are familiar with the concept of using water power to generate electricity. The process works by harnessing the energy created in moving water to create electricity for other uses. The same effect can be created using salt water and oxygen. Creating electricity from salt water and oxygen is best demonstrated by a simple science experiment using basic supplies that are available at any hardware or home improvement store. Step 1 Attach a light-bulb base with socket to a wooden board using screws and a screwdriver. Place it close to the edge of the wood and place a ceramic coffee mug on top of the wood near the opposite side. Step 2 Strip 1 inch of insulated plastic coating from the ends of both sets of copper wires. Place the wire strippers 1 inch above the end of the wire; close the wire strippers and pull them toward the end of the wire.
